Magistrate Dr.Abou Bakar Binneh-Kamara of Court No.1 has sentenced one Ibrahim Deem Zubam to three years imprisonment or alternatively pays a fine of five million Leones to the State and five million Leones to the complainant.
Ibrahim was standing trial on one count charge of obtaining money by false pretence, contrary to section 32 (1) of Larceny Act 1961.
Inspector Bah had alleged that the convict sometimes in the month of February 2015, at four mile, Newton, obtained the sum of seven million, three hundred thousand Leones from Edward Ibrahim Kargbo by falsely pretending that he had one and a half town piece of land for sale, knowing the same to be false.
