Principal Magistrate of Freetown court No. 1, Dr. Abou Bakar Binneh-Kamara, has last Thursday granted bail to one Alhassan Bangura and Damba Koroma in the sum of eight million United States Dollars and five sureties in like sum.
The accused persons were charged on one counts of conspiracy contrary to law.
The prosecution also alleged that the accused persons on diverse dates between April, 2011 and December 2016, at Adonkia, Goderich village, conspired together with others unknown and obtained the sum of seven million United States Dollars from one Ghanaian national, Fitnat Omari Ababio, with the pretext that they have quantity of diamond and gold for sale, knowing same to be false.
Magistrate Binneh-Kamara said the accused must produce five sureties and five title deeds of realities in Western Area and must produce a national passport or identity card, while bail must be approved by the Master and Registrar.
