Western Area Football Association (WAFA) Secretariat has confirmed they would be hosting a week-long coach’s training for football coaches within the Western Area.
The week long seminar which will start on Sunday May 7 and run until the 14 May is expected to attract over 15 coaches and will be conducted by instructors from United Kingdom.
According to one of the secretariat staff, Mohamed Jatu they are open to receive more application from interested coaches in the Western Area and all are requested to send in their application to WAFA secretariat before 5th May, 2017.
“The course instructors are from the UK and every participant will be certified at the end of the one-week training. For us this is a capacity building, a step in the right direction for our coaches and this will help them before the commencement of our various leagues,” Jatu said.
This will be the first big activate under the leadership of the newly elected Chairman Foday Turay, the last time such a seminar was hosted was in 2016 under the Abdul Kainseu administration when a day seminar was hosted for club officials/administrators.
