Four Murder accused granted Le160m bail

After spending almost eight years at the Pademba Road Male Correctional Centre for several charges including murder among others, Justice Alusine Sesay of the Freetown High Court, yesterday granted forty (Le40 million Leones bail each to four out of seven accused persons that were standing trial before him.
The accused including: Frank Maada Senessie, Eddie William Kamara, Abdul Jalloh, Lamin Conteh, Ibrahim Cidi Sillah, Nelson Koba-Morque and Moses Nyandebo were arraigned in the High Court of Sierra Leone on five count charges of conspiracy to commit a felony to wit murder, murder, shooting with intent, accessory before the fact and wounding with intent, contrary to the Offences Against the Person’s Act of 1816.
The prosecution alleges that all accused persons on diverse dates between 15th and 21st December, 2010 in Freetown, conspired with other persons unknown to commit a felony to with murder.
On count two, the prosecution alleges that Frank Maada Senessie (first accused) on 15th of December, 2010 in Freetown, murdered one Yeale Kargbo.
On count three, which is shooting with intent, the prosecution further alleges that the first accused person, on 15th December, 2010 in Freetown, shot one Sinneh Kargbo with intent to murder him.
The prosecution on Count four-accessory before the fact also alleges that Ibrahim Cidi Sillah, Nelson Komba-Morque on 15th December, 2010 in Freetown did counsel, procure and command Frank Maada Senessie, Eddie William Kamara, Abdul Jalloh and Lamin Conteh to steal three Nokia mobile phones of the value of Le560,000, five bags valued Le700,000 and other items worth millions of Leones.
The prosecution again alleges that Frank Maada Senessie, Eddie William Kamara, Abdul Jalloh and Lamin Conteh on 15th December, 2010 in Freetown, wounded one Sinneh Kargbo with intent to do her bodily harm.
However, the other accused persons informed the court that the first and third accused has died in in jail.
