Showing sign of appreciation for a job well done in 2016 to its staff, the United Bank for Africa Sierra Leone, one of the leading financial institutions in the country and Africa as whole, on Saturday 16th December, 2016 awarded deserving staff.
Speaking at the well -attended end of year party and awards night, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UBA Sierra Leone, Ndubuisi Ejiofor, said the event was organised every year as a way of saying thanks to all the UBA staff across the country.
“One thing you can’t take away from the United Bank for Africa is the respect and concern we have for our customers and our staff. The bank made tremendous progress in this 2016 year and the praises go to our staff for hard work and I know 2017 is going to be more better than 2016,” he said.
He added that UBA was the only bank that operates in 19 African countries and the only African bank that has presence in New York, London and Paris, all with the aim of promoting African businesses by connecting Africa with the rest of the world.
Meanwhile, Abu Barrie won the Best customer Service Staff of the year, Pricilla Kanneh, won the Best Support Staff of the year, Franklyn Awaogu, won the Best Relationship Manager of the year, while Ibrahim Bangura won the Best Outsourced Staff of the year.
“Let me say this, we are all winners equally here tonight in one way or the other. It is just that those that were awarded are those you voted for. I am now calling on you all here present to work hard come 2017 and be award receivers,” he said.
The party and award nights, which was organised at the Hill Cut Residence of the Manager was attended by renowned personalities, top government officials, big costumers of the bank including the Nigerian High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, H.E Gladus Modupeola Quist-Adebiyi.
