Hassan Dauda Bangura, Kabba Lamin Turay, Ibrahim Sorie Kamara, Patrick Bangura, Bermie Thomas Emeric George, Matthews Mustapha, Mohamed Bangura, Mohamed Bangura, Abdul Rahaman Jah, Issa Messi Kamara and Samuel Allen Mansaray from various schools in Freetown were on Friday (November 18) remanded at the Male Correctional Centre on Pademba Road by Magistrate Abou Bhkarr Binneh Kamara of court No.1 for riotous conduct, contrary to law.

The accused persons, who had already pleaded guilty as charged were  arraigned before Magistrate Kamara on a count’s  charge each of riotous conduct, contrary to law.

The prosecution had alleged that the accused persons were on Wednesday 16 November, 2016 in Freetown found misbehaving in a riotous manner, contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.

In his bail application, Lawyer T. Campbell informed the court that the accused persons were pupils and that they were first time offenders.

He added that the time they had already spent in police custody had made them learnt some lessons.

He pleaded with the Bench to temper justice with mercy and promised to formally advise the pupils.

Magistrate Kamara adjourned the matter to Wednesday 23 November, 2016 for sentencing.
