Regent Olympic Cricket Club would clash with Murray Town Cricket club and the undefeated Old Princewaleans Cricket Club on Saturday and Sunday respectively, as they continue their quest to gain promotion to the premier league.
Like their Old Princewaleans opponent, Regent Olympic were also undefeated in the ongoing tournament with three wins out of three games, and a victory against Murray Town and Old Princewaleans could see them lift the SLCA T20 Division One league.
The former National Cricket Coach, Cyril Panda has predicted that this weekend fixtures were expected to be intensive, especially the Old Princewaleans and Regent Olympic Cricket clash.
“The match between Regent Olympic and Old Princewaleans would be the Olympics final league fixture. Provided if they defeat Murray Town on Saturday, then Sunday’s match will be a final, as victory will give them (Regent Olympic) the division one league championship,” Panda said.
Meanwhile, on Saturday in the morning hours, Regent Olympics will play the youthful Murray Town, while the second match of the day will see the rapid rising Kenemajane play against the Albert Academy.
On Sunday, Kenemajane will also play against Wanderers and if they win both matches on Saturday and Sunday’s, they will be in a strong position to challenge Old Princewaleans for the promotion spot in the final match of the fixtures on Saturday 12th November.
