3 remanded for murder

As the September 2016 criminal session call-over ends in the High Court of Sierra Leone, Justice John-Bosco Allieu on Friday, 23 September, remanded three alleged murder accused at the Pademba Road Male Correctional Centre in Freetown.
The three accused persons – Samuel Okon, Sylvanus Sam and Ishmael Conteh – were charged with conspiracy to murder and murder contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.
State Prosecutor Ahmed A. J. Bockarie had alleged that first accused Samuel Okon on 13th September, 2013, in Freetown, murdered one Mohamed Lamin Sesay.
The prosecution further alleges that Sylvanus Sam and Ishmael Conteh conspired with some unknown persons to murder one Gibrilla Kargbo.
Justice Allieu refused to grant the trio bail and ordered their remand at the Male Correctional Centre until the commencement of their trial.
