Cup title success delights Kallay

Sierra Leone-born midfielder Ibrahim Kallay is delighted to have scored the winner for Pitea IF against his former club IFK Lulea, which helped the former lift the Swedish DM Cup 2016 at the LF Arena.

The 23-year-old, who admits his delights, sealed the victory for Pitea IF as they registered a 2-0 win over IFK Lulea.

“It was a great game, we played well and I am happy for the team and my goal. The fans wanted us to win the trophy and we did our best to help to achieve that. It a great feeling for me,” said the former FC Kallon midfielder.

Kallay had a spell with Lulea after joining them from Umea and it was from the latter he moved to Piteå at the start of the season and has already appeared 15 times for the Swedish Division One Norra side, scoring twice.

Pitea IF DM Cup title has now qualified them for next year’s Swedish Cup, an opportunity to face Swedish top flight clubs.
