Sierra Leone national team Leone Stars has dropped five places down in the latest FIFA world rankings released by the world football governing body.
The rankings, published on Thursday, 15 September, show Sierra Leone falling from 88 to 93 in the world football chart, tied up with North America nation Haiti.
Sierra Leone recorded a total point of 372, nine more less than the figure they registered during the August rankings. The team also dropped two places down in the African classification from 23rd place to 25.
With the next edition ranking release set for October 20, Cote d’Ivoire are now Africa’s top ranked team, 34 places in the world ranking, followed by Algeria in second and Senegal in third. Tunisia and Ghana finished as fourth and fifth placed nation in the African ranking.
