Sierra Leone swimmers Binturabie Jalloh and Osman Kamara say they are “super excited” at the prospect of competing in their first Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Jalloh and Kamara will both compete in the Swimming Women’s & Men’s 50m Freestyle event respectively, and the duo are living their dreams in Rio as they await to compete in their maiden Olympic.
“I’ve been excited about the Olympics,” Kamara said in an interview after the team’s parade in Friday’s opening ceremony. The feel to be around other top athletes in the Games Village is one thing that keeps the duo more excited.
“I already love the reception, the atmosphere here and it feels great to stay in the Village and get to meet other athletes,” says Jalloh, who was the country’s flag bearer during the opening ceremony.
