President Ernest Bai Koroma has hailed ‘traditional support’ of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to the Government and People of Sierra Leone, spanning several years.
He made this statement while receiving the new UNFPA Representative, Dr Kim Dickson, when the latter was at State House in Freetown, recently to present her letters of credential.
President Koroma assured the new UNFPA representative that his government would do everything possible to make her stay rewarding and productive in Sierra Leone.
Dr. Kim Dickson, while presenting her credential to President Koroma, pledged on behalf of her institution to strengthen the long standing partnership between UNFPA and the Government and people of Sierra Leone.
UNFPA has been rolling out support to the government and implementing partners over the years in reproductive health and population related issues.
