Freetown, July 6, 2015 – The Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) has commenced the payments of the 2015 local tax for its serving personnel to the various local councils in the country.
On Friday, 3rd July 2015, the Commanding Officer of Armed Forces Personnel Centre (AFPC), Wing Commander Michael Kamara paid the sum of Le18, 085, 000 to the Freetown City Council in respect of the soldiers deployed in the Western Area Urban district.
In addition the total sum of Le20, 950, 000 has been disbursed to the various RSLAF Brigades and battalions nationwide for onward payments to the other local councils. The payments are allocated as follows: Western Area Rural district, Le3, 950, 000; Makeni city and Bombali district councils, Le2, 540, 000; Port Loko district council, Le2, 795, 000; Kambia district council, Le1, 705, 000; Koinadugu district council, Le1, 730, 000; Pujehun district council, Le1, 815, 000; Kenema city and district councils, Le1, 770, 000; Kailahun district council, Le1, 750, 000; Kono city and district councils, Le1, 855, 000; Moyamba district council, Le515, 000; and Bo district council, Le555, 000.
