Sierra Leonean pair, Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara and Mohamed Medo Kamara, both scored their first goal of the season for Örebro SK and HJK Helsinki in the Swedish and Finnish leagues respectively, last week.

Crespo Kamara sealed a 3-1 win for Örebro SK from the penalty spot as they defeated Helsingborg last Thursday, in the just commenced Allsvenskan league, with the strike being Kamara’s first in two matches in this season’s campaign.

With Örebro SK taking on Jonkopings Sodra today (Monday) in another league encounter, the Sierra Leonean striker, who missed the entire 2015 league season due to injury, has already got the backing of his manager Alexander Axen to have a big impact this campaign.

“Obviously delighted with the win after our first defeat, but was happier about Kamara’s fitness – he is a top player for us and hopes he stays fit to help the team,” Axen was quoted as saying.

The Örebro manager was also happy after seeing his side register their first victory of the campaign after they lost their opening fixture to Djurgården on 3 April.

In Finland, former Bolton and Partizan Belgrade midfielder Mohamed Medo Kamara also got his name on the score-sheet to help HJK Helsinki secure a 3-1 win over Vaasan Palloseura in Veikkausliiga action on Friday.

It was Kamara’s first goal in two matches since he returned to his former club, and the goal came in the second half after reacting first to a loose ball just outside the box in the 49th minute and drove a low right-footed shot into the bottom corner.

The win was HJK Helsinki’s second in two matches. They will now take on Rops this Thursday away from home.
